PHOTOMARK LIGHTING CLASSES

Photomark offers a variety of lighting classes, free of charge! Our lighting classes cover a range of topics from the most basic principles of lighting to advanced multiple light techniques. Photomark's lighting classes include studio portrait lighting, high and low-key portrait lighting, on-camera flash, photographing 2D and 3D artwork, and basic product photography.

Our lighting classes are informal seminar-style classes which allow time for questions and student interaction. If you already own lighting equipment our classes will help you get the most from your gear. If you're looking to purchase a lighting set-up these classes will help you decide if you need strobes with a powerpack, monolights, or continuous lighting.

Photomark's free Saturday lighting classes discuss various lighting and studio tools including umbrellas, softboxes, grids, barn doors, posing tables, benches, backgrounds, and the importance of using a light meter. We also cover how to use reflective and translucent light discs to change the mood of your photograph.

Photomark rents Acute 2 2400, and Acute 2R 2400 kits. We also rent Profoto Compact 600 monolight strobes, and D4 generators. Our rental department rents Profoto ring lights for the cute and Pro7 series. Profoto light shaping tools in rental include soft boxes,octa boxes,umbrellas,beauty dish,honeycomb grids, grid reflectors, Magnum reflector,Protube, Proglobe,ProBox,and the Profoto Fresnel Spot.

Photomark also sells strobe lighting systems from Elinchrom,Dynalite,Westcott, and RPS studios.

In addition to strobe equipment, Photomark also stocks a variety of accessories to complete your studio set-up. We sell a selection of backgrounds, background stands, sandbags, gaffers tape, apple boxes, light modifiers, light shaping tools, light stands, umbrellas, softboxes, speed rings, flags, shiny boards and other grip equipment. We sell California Sunbounce, and Chelsea umbrellas for your diffusion needs.
